Description of key information

One long-term chronic toxicity studies of reliability 1 for Pigment Orange 34 on Eisenia fetida is available.
Under the conditions of this test the NOEC of the submission substance after 56 days was 1000 mg/kg dw (based an nominal concentration).

No further testing is necessary as the outcome of CSA indicates that available terrestrial toxicity tests are appropriate to cover information requirements.

Furthermore direct or indirect exposure to soil is not likely. The registration substance is practically insoluble and has a negligible vapour pressure. Due to an n-octanol/water partitioning coefficient below the trigger value of three, a low adsorption potential to sediment and soil particles can be expected.
