Additional information

The toxicity of chloroethane (CAS 75-00-3) to Pseudomonas putida was tested according to German guideline DIN 38412, part 8. The measured test substance concentrations were measured (geometric mean) 6.2, 23.8, 16.7, 20.0, 31.2, 61.8 and 142 mg/L. After an incubation time of 17 hours an EC50 (17 h) > 140 mg/L was determined.

Based on the available data inhibitory effects of chloroethane (CAS 75-00-3) on aquatic microorganism activity are not anticipated.
