Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Aquatic toxicity: freshwater

The short-term acute aquatic toxicity database covers 4 species (1 algae, 1 invertebrate, 1 fish, and 1 microorganism). The tests showed NOEC values in range from > 10,000 mg/L (fish; leuciscus idus) to 10 m mg/L (daphnia magna). The EC/LC50 values in mg/L were: >10,000 (fish), 50 (daphnia), 220 (algae), and > 1000 (bacteria). Long-term aquatic toxicity testing is requested for a further assessment.

The freshwater PNEC was derived from the lowest EC50 (daphnia), 50 mg/L. The assessment factor 1,000 leads to a PNEC of 0.05 mg for /L. This value can also be used as PNEC for intermittent releases (worst case).

Aquatic toxicity: marine water

There are no data available from testing with marine water species. Therefore the PNEC is derived from the fresh water test results. In this case, the assessment factor is 10,000 resulting in a PNEC for marine water of 0.005 mg/L.

Aquatic toxicity: sediment and soil

Due to the readily biodegradability and the very low likelihood of exposure, there is no need for the generation of corresponding data. However data have been generated for completeness.
