Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

In a guideline acute invertebrate toxicity study, daphnia magna were exposed to 500mg/l of 2-(2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethanol for 48 hours. No evidence of immobility was seen up to the maximum concentration tested. In a 48hr toxicity study in daphnia magna (DM), the substance 2 -(2 -(2 -butoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethanol was established to have an LC50 value of 2210mg/l. Neither study is ideal for use as a sole key study and a weight of evidence approach is used to fulfil the requirements for this end point. The study that derives a true EC50 rather than the limit study is used to derive thekey parameter.
