Description of key information

Hydrolysis observed at pH 4.  NC-4 considered stable at pH 7 and pH 9.

Additional information

A hydrolysis determination (Batelle Europe, Geneva) was cited in the NONS Registration Dossier (Mitsui & Co., Benelux, 1991). The determination was condcted in accordance with EU Method C7.

NC-4 was found to hydrolyse under acidic conditions (pH 4), but was seen to be stable at neutral (pH 7) and basic (pH 9) conditions (no hydrolysis observed).
