First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air, seek medical attention. If
clothing is contaminated, remove and launder before reuse.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for ten minutes. If irritation persists or
any cuts have occurred seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. If irritation persists or any
cuts have occurred, seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water, seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion products will contain carbon oxides. Suitable
extinguishing agents are carbon dioxide and dry powder.
Foam or halogenated extinguishing agents may be used. Avoid
water jets.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Contain spillage and absorb spillage using suitable
material (sand or inert powder). Dispose of waste by
incineration.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid contact with eyes and mucosal membranes. Wear
suitable protective clothing (gloves and glasses). Do not
smoke where the product is being handled, avoid naked
flames, do not let the vapours come into contact with
sources of ignition (eg. electrical equipment). Do not
breathe the vapours. Destroy contaminated waste (eg.
tissues, paper, etc.)impregnated with the substance. Ensure
good local ventilation.
Storage: Store in original or glass containers away from sources of
heat, air (to avoid oxidation), and light. Avoid large
changes in temperature. Do not reuse empty containers.
