First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure, keep warm and at rest.

Obtain medical attemtion as a precaution.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water,
holding the eyelids apart, for at least 16 minutes.

Obtain immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash skin
immediately with water, followed by soap and water. Such
action is essential to minimise contact with skin.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show the
container, label or the Safety Data Sheet, if possible.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: For small fires use foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder
extinguishant. For large fires use foam or water-fog; avoid
use of water jet. Contain run-off waters with, for example,
temporary earth barriers.

Keep fire exposed containers cool by spraying with water.

Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon, nitrogen and sulphur.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: A self contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective
clothing should be worn in fire conditions.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ensure suitable personal protection during removal of
spillages. This means wearing eye protection, chemically
resistant gloves, boots and coveralls.

Cover spillage with moist sand or soil. Wash the spillage
area with water. Washings must be prevented from entering
surface water drains.

Handling and storage

Handling: Wear suitable respiratory protective equipment if exposure
to high levels of material is likely.

Wear eye/face protection, gloves and suitable protective
clothing.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash hands and exposed
skin after use.

When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash face and hands
before eating, drinking or smoking.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: In the event of a spill recovery of uncontaminated material
may be possible by mechanical collection and recycling.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Neutralisation is not possible.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Landfill may be possible, depending on local regulatory
requirements.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is the ultimate method of disposal, using an
incinerator with flue gas scrubbing.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Substance will not enter the public domain.
