Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 10
minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide and dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon together
with metal oxides and boron containing compounds.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1). Avoid dust
formation by damping down spill with water. For spills of
solutions, absorb using a suitable inert material (eg. sand
or soil). Collect waste using a sealed industrial vacuum
cleaner or other suitable method and transfer to suitable
waste containers for disposal. Dispose of waste at a
landfill site or by incineration. Clean site with detergent
and water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. Avoid ingestion, inhalation and skin and eye
contact. Ensure adequate ventilation, use engineering
controls. Protective clothing, gloves, safety goggles
should be used if necessary. If respiratory protection is
required, a dust mask with half filter (conforming to EN149
FFP1) is recommended.

Storage: Store in tightly closed containers.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages is not economically or
technically feasible. Recovery for recycling from larger
spillages of uncontaminated material is possible. (A612)

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance can be disposed of at a suitable landfill
site. (A650)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration. Waste gas
treatment to remove metal oxides and boron containing
compounds should be used. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not normally be discharged to sewage
systems or the aqueous environment. If accidental discharge
should occur the substance is not likely to have adverse
effects on sewage micro-organisms.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will only enter the public domain in the form
of articles which can be disposed of as normal domestic
waste.
