PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Persistence:

The substance showed 80% degradation in a ready biodegradability test. In consequence the substance can be considered as being readily biodegradable and "not (v)P"

Bioaccumulation:

The predicted results derived by two valid QSAR computations were 504 L/kg and 1622 L/kg, respectively. Thus, the B criterion is not fulfilled.

Toxicity:

The substance does not fulfil PBT (screening) criteria for aquatic toxicity, is not a CMR substance and is not classified for repeated dose toxicity.

Conclusion:

The substance is not PBT / vPvB.

Likely routes of exposure:

The substance will be released to the environment mainly via the sewage after wide dispersive use of fragranced end-products. Humans are likely to be mainly exposed via the skin when applying fragranced end-products. The inhalation and oral human exposure pathways are of less significance.
