Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The BUA assessment report has following statement:

"Within a period of 130 days, an air concentration of 420 mg/m³, inhaled by rats and guinea pigs 7 hours daily, 5 days per week, led to delayed weight gain of the male animals as opposed to the untreated control animals."

The quality of this information can not be assessed since the experimental details were not provided. The effect is not quantified and hence the meaning of "delayed weight gain" remains unclear. Therefore it is not clear if this information can be used for the further risk assessment.
