Following O.E.C.D. test guidelines or EU test methods for the test substance, 4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol, oligomeric reaction products with 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane, reaction products with fatty acids, C18-unsatd., dimers (CAS No. 67989-52-0) was assessed for its chemical characteristics, including freezing point (A1), boiling point (A2), specific gravity (A3), vapor pressure (A4), water solubility (A6), partition coefficient (OECD 117), flash point (A9) an auto-ignition (A15). The freezing point was estimated to be 42.0°C and the boiling point was undetermined as sample underwent decomposition. The specific gravity of the test substance was determined to be 1.09 at 20 °C. The extrapolated vapor pressure of the test substance was determined to be 2.3 x 10-7 Pascals at 25°C. The solubility in water was determined to be 2.58 mg/L and the partition coefficient was determined to be between 449 and 3.16 x 10^6 (Log Pow. of 2.65 to 6.5). The flash point was determined to be 281°C and the auto-ignition temperature was determined to have be 448 ± 5°C.
