- Basis for effect:
- mortality
- Details on results:
- Study evaluated 7 species simultaneously. Summary indicates that the test was conducted using a saturated solution (limit of water solubility). Concentration reported for 48-hour daphnia endpoint in this study listed concentration as 1.46 mg/L while 96 hour results were listed as 1.55 mg/L which suggests that the concentrations were measured. Other studies following the same protocol that included full study details indicate measured concentrations as standard procedure.
- Reported statistics and error estimates:
- No adverse effects reported.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Executive summary:
Company data provided in the form of a results summary. The protocol for the study method is published and similar to the EU Method C.2 protocol for daphnia. The methods used for this study are well documented in full study reports for other test substances. While a study report is not available for this test substance, the results are considered to be reliable for a weight of evidence report supported by more recent GLP studies. The results support a conclusion that acute effects for daphnia are not expected at the limit of water solubility.
