Additional information

No information on the primary source of this data or the methods used is available. However, this information is taken from a reliable peer reviewed handbook, Lide (2008) and so can be considered reliable and suitable for use as the key study for this endpoint. The most up to date version of the source at the time has been used. An earlier version of the source used by OECD SIDS (2005) for this endpoint. The density of 2-methylbut-2-ene at 20˚C is 0.6623 This result is supported by data from the Merck Handbook (O'Neil 2006) ,which determined the relative density to be 0.66 at 15°C.
