Description of key information
Based on the logKow (0.31), and also for its ready biodegradability, and its high solubility in water, ethyl (S)-lactate is not expected to bioconcentrate.
Additional information
As ethyl-S-lactate is neither surface active nor significantly ionizable, and other mechanisms driving bioaccumulation could not be identified, its bioaccumulation potential is solely based on the log Kow and thus regarded as low.
