Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH annex VIII, the adsorption/desorption screening test was waived as MAA is expected to have a low potential for absorption based on the low octanol water partition coefficient (log Pow -0.4). Furthermore, the substance was found to be readily biodegradable in a manometric respiration test and inherently biodegradable in a study equivalent to the Zahn-Wellens method.
The test method for determination of the adsorption coefficient (Koc) according to EU Method C.19 was replaced by a theory based evaluation. The resulting log Koc was 0.8339 for the MCI method.
