Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

All studies were considered as key as they cover different endpoints under REACH. All of the three studies were reliable guideline studies which could be used alone to address these end points and were all assigned a Klimisch score of 1.

Short description of key information:
Genetic toxicity in vitro, 001: Negative for a bacterial reverse mutation assay.
Genetic toxicity in vitro, 002: Negative for a mammalian cell gene mutation assay.
Genetic toxicity in vivo, 001: Negative for a micronucleus assay addressing the chromosome aberration endpoint.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

As all of the studies were negative, no classification of trichlorooctylstannane would be required with respect to genetic toxicity.
