Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The test substance melted when approached by the ignition flame. The substance did not burn down or burn up.

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Conclusions:
The flammability of a substance is determined following the methods N.1 (UN-manual of testing) or A.10 (EU-method).
The test substance melted when approached by the ignition flame. The substance did not burn down or burn up. Therefore the substance is classified as not flammable solid.
Executive summary:

The flammability of a substance is determined following the methods N.1 (UN-manual of testing) or A.10 (EU-method).

The test substance melted when approached by the ignition flame. The substance did not burn down or burn up. Therefore the substance is classified as not flammable solid.

Description of key information

The flammability of a substance is determined following the methods UN-N.1

or A.10 (EU-method). The test substance melted when approached by the ignition flame. The substance did not burn down or burn up. Based on the burning behaviour a classification as flammable solid can be ruled out. Therefore the substance is classified as not flammable solid.
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the study on flammability in contact with water does not need to be conducted as the substance contains no metals or metalloids and therefore will not release flammable gases in contact with water.
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, a study does not need to be conducted as it is scientifically unjustified. Based on experience during handling and use, no pyrophoric properties were observed and the structure does not give a reference to pyrophoric properties.

non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is neither a flammable solid, nor does it has pyrophoric properties or does emit flammable gases in contact with water; and hence no classification according to both Directive 67/548/EEC and GHS (Regulation EC 1272/2008).
