Endpoint:
hydrolysis
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is readily biodegradable
Justification for type of information:
In accordance with section 9.2.2.1, column 2 of Annex VIII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) the study on hydrolysis is scientifically not necessary since the substance is readily biodegradable (see IUCLID section 5.2.1).

Description of key information

The study does not need to be conducted because the test substance is readily biodegradable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with section 9.2.2.1, column 2 of Annex VIII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) the study on hydrolysis is scientifically not necessary since the substance is readily biodegradable (see IUCLID section 5.2.1). Nevetheless, a half life of 156 h at pH 7.4 for the test item is published so in contact with water the test item will hydrolyse slowly.
