Additional information

The experimental data on the adsorption coefficient of the substance methyl benzoate and its low octanol-water partition coefficient show that the substance has a low potential for binding to soil or sediment. Based on the Henry's Law constant of 3.07 Pa · m3/mol the substance is considered as moderately volatile in the environment. It is anticipated that a certain fraction of substance emitted to sewage may evaporate during waste water treatment. In addition, volatilisation from surface waters to some extent may also be expected under vigorous mixing conditions.
