Description of key information

Therefore, the inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when dipropylamine (CAS 142-84-7) is introduced in appropriately low concentrations.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

To investigate the effects of dipropylamine (CAS 142-84-7) towards microorganisms, as a key study, a GLP respiration test with non-adapted domestic activated sludge was conducted according to OECD guideline 209. The 30-min EC50was determined to be > 1000 mg/L (nominal, BASF AG, 2005, rep. no.: 08G0059/023007).
