Justification for type of information:
1) The substance is known to be genotoxic in vivo (see 7.6.2). Therefore in vitro genotoxicity assays are useless for a conclusion on genotoxic potential.
2) The substance is known to be a carcinogen (see 7.7). The Ames test is therefore useless as a test able to detect carcinogens.
