Additional information

Data on adsorption/desorption shows that adsorption is not related to the organic content in soil, but rather a cation-exchange mechanism. For risk assessment the mean Kd measured, 14.4 L/kg is used for partitioning to soil, and partitioning to solid phase in sediment and suspended particles.

From the vapour pressure 667 Pa at 23 °C and a water solubility of >200 g/L, a Henrys law constant of <0.334 Pa*m3/mol can be calculated. The fugacity level 1 modeling 1 -methylpiperazine partitions for 58.6 % to soil, and 37.6% to water. Only 2.5% is predicted to partition to air using a H of 0.344 Pa*m3/mol. This indicates that volatilisation from water will be low.
