Description of key information

> 100 °C at ca. 1013 hPa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
100 °C

Additional information

The flash point of the test item in its marketed composition (water based formulation, water content 73.2 %) was not determinable in an experiment according to EU Method A.9 (Pensky-Martens closed cup). The water content was boiled over in the preliminary test so that temperature measurement was not accurate and the flash point at ca. 1013 hPa was judged to be > 100 °C. A similiar result (Pensky-Martens closed cup, ASTM D93/07) was obtained with another water formulation, water content ca. 73%, at 1023 hPa.

For the pure substance (without water), in accordance with Section 2 of REACH Annex XI, information requirement section 7.9, the study flash point does not need to be conducted based on the physical state of the substance - solid.
