Conclusion on classification

Benzenediamine, ar-methyl-, polymer with 2-methyloxirane and oxirane shows no acute effects towards aquatic organisms of three trophic levels (algae, crustaceans and fish) up to concentrations of 100 mg/L. Long-term testing in Daphnia on a structural analogue (oTDA-PO) resulted an EC10 > 1. The registration item is neither readily biodegradable (27 % in 28 days), nor inherently biodegradable (42 % in 27 days) and the substance is hydrolytically stable at 50 °C at pH 4, 7 and 9. Benzenediamine, ar-methyl-, polymer with 2-methyloxirane and oxirane has a low potential to bioaccumulate. The information on the substance is reliable and sufficient for classification purposes.


Based on the available information on Benzenediamine, ar-methyl-, polymer with 2-methyloxirane and oxirane, there is no need to classify the registration item for environmental hazards according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 on Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures.
