In a 96 h acute toxicity study, zebra-fish (Brachydanio rerio) were exposed to test item at nominal concentrations of 0 (control, solvent control) 0.18, 0.32, 0.58, 1.0, 1.8, 3.2, 5.8 mg/L under static conditions. The 96 h LC50 was determined at 1.3 mg/L. The 96 h LC0 and LC100 were 1.0 and 1.8 mg/L, respectively.

Two studies investigated the effects of the test item on immobilisation of Daphnia magna. In the GLP compliant key study according to OECD 202 guideline, daphnids were exposed under static conditions over 48 hours to five loading levels of 0.500 - 1.00 - 2.00 - 4.00 - 8.00 mg/L. After 48 hours, the EC50 for immobility was 2.05 mg/L. In a supporting study, Daphnia magna were exposed to the test item for 24h under static conditions. Daphnids were exposed to control, solvent control, and test item at nominal concentration of 1.0, 1.8, 3.2, 5.8, 10 mg/L for 24 h. The 24h EC50 was 1.4 mg/L.

A 72 hour study with the green algae Desmosdesmus subspicatus was conducted with test loading levels of 0.625, 1.25, 2.50, 5.00 and 10 mg/L to investigated for effects on growth rate and yield inhibition under static conditions. After 72 hours the EC50 values for inhibition of growth rate and yield were 0.976 and 0.762 mg/L, respectively.

In a 3 h acute toxicity study sewage sludge micro-organisms were exposed to the test item at nominal concentrations of 108.5, 37, 12.5, 4 and 1.2 mg/L. The IC50 value based on respiration rate after was 69 mg/L after a 3 h contact time.
