Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
INHALATION
Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Get medical attention.
INGESTION
Wash out mouth with water, provided person is conscious. Get medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT
Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin with soap and plenty of running water. Get medical attention.
EYE CONTACT
Rinse immediately eye with plenty of low pressure water for at least 15 minutes.
Remove any contact lenses. Get medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA
To extinguish fire use water spray, dry powder, carbon dioxide, or foam.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES
Prevent run-off water from entering the sewer system.
UNUSUAL FIRE & EXPLOSION HAZARDS
Dust may form explosive mixture with air.
SPECIFIC HAZARDS
By fire toxic gases may be formed (Cox, NOx).
PROTECTIVE MEASURES IN FIRE
Self contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
See section on exposure controls / personal protection
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
Take precautionary measures against discharges into the environment.
SPILL CLEAN UP METHODS
Collect spilled material without creating dust, then place into a suitable closed container for disposal as chemical waste.
Handling and storage
USAGE PRECAUTIONS
Concentrated dust may present an explosion hazard.
Avoid contact with eyes or skin.
Wash thoroughly after handling and before eating, drinking or smoking.
STORAGE PRECAUTIONS
To protect product quality, store in sealed container in a cool place and out of direct sunlight.
Protect against static charge and keep away from source of ignition. Prevent dust formation.

Exposure controls / personal protection
EXPOSURE LIMITS
None listed.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Protective gloves, safety goggles, breathing apparatus and protective clothing. Avoid any source of ignition and/or static charge.
RESPIRATORY EQUIPMENT
Breathing apparatus: Wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus classified under EN 137:2006 with at least 90% respiratory protection and give operators basic training. Cartridges must be discarded after each working day.
HAND PROTECTION
Protective gloves: Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure. Use chemically resistant gloves classified under EN 374, class 6 (breakthrough time > 480 minutes). Give operators basic training. An advanced occupational health and safety management system must be in use.
Discard gloves after one working day or when they have come into direct contact with the substance.
EYE PROTECTION
Wear approved safety goggles.
HYGIENE MEASURES
Wash at the end of each work shift and before eating, drinking, smoking or using the toilet.
SKIN PROTECTION
Wear protective clothing.
Stability and reactivity
STABILITY
Stable under normal temperature conditions and recommended use.
MATERIALS TO AVOID
Strong oxidising agents
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS
By fire toxic gases (COx, NOx) may be formed
Disposal considerations
GENERAL INFORMATION
Place into a suitable closed container for disposal as chemical waste.
DISPOSAL METHODS
Dispose of in accordance with local and national regulations.
