Description of key information

The relative density is 1.109  at 25 deg. C as per method ASTM D 891.

Additional information

The key value was determined by using a pycnometer method according to ASTM D 891. Titanium(4+) ethanolate is hydrolytically unstable. When it comes in contact with water or moisture, a complete hydrolysis will take place with no significant reaction products other than ethanol and hydrated titanium dioxide. Because of rapid hydrolysis, instead of the target substance, read-across data on the density of ethanol, 0.79 at 20 deg.Celsius released from the substance is used as a key value in exposure assessment (see section 9 & 10 of CSR).
