Description of key information

Auto flammability [tetrahydro-2-methylfuran]: 260±5°C (EU Method A.15)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
260 °C

Additional information

An auto ignition temperature of 260±5°C at 99.5 - 100.9 kPa was determined for the substance in accordance with EU Method A.15 and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable and was selected as key study. This value is supported by an auto ignition temperature of 270°C which was reported for the substance in a secondary source to which no reliability could be assigned.
