Additional information

Tricalcium bis(orthophosphate) (EC 231-840-8, CAS 7758-87-4) is an inorganic solid white powder. The substance has a melting point > 450°C and therefore a study for boiling point does not need to be conducted. The relative density of tricalcium bis(orthophosphate) was determined to be 3.27 at 21 °C. The water solubility of the test material has been determined to be 7.7 mg/l at 20 ± 0.5 °C.

Overall, it can be concluded that tricalcium bis(orthophosphate) is not considered to possess any of the following hazardous physical-chemical properties: autoflammability and/or self-ignition, flammability, explosiveness and oxidising properties.

Thus, the substance does not meet the classification criteria for physical-chemical hazard in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
