Description of key information

After evaporation or exposure to air, hydroxypropyl acrylate will be rapidly degraded by photochemical processes.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The rate constant for the reaction of hydroxypropyl acrylate with hydroxyl radicals in the atmosphere was estimated by the SRC AOPWIN v1.92 program as 17.35 E-12 cm³/molecule*s. From this rate constant half-life for the reaction of OH radicals with hydroxypropyl acrylate is calculated as 22.19 hours assuming a 24h-day.
