First-aid measures

General advice: Take off all contaminated clothing immediately.

Skin contact: After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water.
Do NOT use solvents or thinners. If skin reactions occur, contact a physician.

Eye contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water, also under the eyelids. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.

Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water. Give small amounts of water to drink. Ingest activated charcoal. Obtain medical attention.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray jet; Foam

Unsuitable extinguishing agents: high volume water jet; Dry powder; Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Thermal decomposition: carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Use personal protective equipment.

Accidental release measures

Methods for cleaning up: Use mechanical handling equipment. Avoid dust formation. Pack separately and send back to manufacturer. Flush with

plenty of water. Dispose of wastewater.

Additional advice: no data available

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Measures must be taken to prevent dust explosion when processing in fine crystalline form.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.

Hygiene measures: Wash hands and face before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Use protective skin cream before handling the product.

Dust explosion class: St 2 (= dust explosion tendency)

Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep away from direct sunlight. Store in original container. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.

Skin and body protection: Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the workplace.

Respiratory protection: Suitable mask with particle filter P3 (European Norm 143)

Protective measures: Wear suitable protective equipment.

Stability and reactivity

Conditions to avoid: Keep away from direct sunlight

Materials to avoid: Oxidizing agents

Hazardous reactions: Risk of dust explosion in fine crystalline powder form.

Disposal considerations

Contaminated packaging: Contaminated, empty containers are to be treated in the same way as the contents.
