Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50/LC50 for freshwater invertebrates:
20 mg/L

Additional information

To determine the toxicity of 2,6 -Xylidine to aquatic invertebrates, a test according to OECD TG 202 using Daphnia magna as test species was performed. Usually tests from this source are compliant to GLP and did an analytical verification of the test substance. The calculated EC50 (48h) value in this study was 20 mg/l (NITE Japan 2002).
