Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: Study performed according to OECD guideline and GLP requirements.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Water solubility:
450.5 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
11.25
Details on results:
The solubility of N,N DIETHYLHYDROXYLAMINE is given to be between 150 and 600 g/L. From this data, three individual concentrations at test item/ultrapure water = 60/40 were prepared by dissolution of the test item in ultrapure water.
As required by the Guideline, the concentrations measured in the 2 last vessels do not differ by more than 15 %.
Thus, as shown by these results, the water solubility of N,N DIETHYLHYDROXYLAMINE is 450.5 g/L.

Sample pH Test item concentration, g/L
T24h 10.97 374.0
T48h 11.40 414.5
T72h 11.09 486.5
Mean value of 2 last measurements 11.25 450.5
Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
The water solubility of the test item N,N DIETHYLHYDROXYLAMINE, measured according to the OECD guideline 105, was 450.5 g/L. During the analysis, the temperature was 20°C +/- 0.6 °C and the mean value of pH was 11.25.
Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item N,N DIETHYLHYDROXYLAMINE, measured according to the OECD guideline 105 and GLP requirements, was 450.5 g/L. During the analysis, the temperature was 20°C +/- 0.6 °C and the mean value of pH was 11.25.

Additional information

The water solubility of the test item N,N DIETHYLHYDROXYLAMINE, measured according to the OECD guideline 105 and GLP requirements was 450.5 g/L (Study report, 2012a). During the analysis, the temperature was 20°C +/- 0.6 °C and the mean value of pH was 11.25.

A supportive study performed according to EU Method A.6 determined a water solubility of 348.3 g/L (Study report, 2012b). Both studies shows that DEHA is very soluble in water.
