Description of key information

The test substance is inherent biodegradable, if released to water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test substance is partly biodegradable (30-40% DOC removal) after 28 days in a GLP guideline study carried out according to OECD 301A [BASF SE, 2011]. However, the results of a non-GLP study performed according to OECD 302 B using acitvated sludge from an industrial waste-water treatment plant show an elimination degree of 98 % after 13 d [BASF AG, 1979]. Since the elimination in this test is caused predominantly by biodegradation, the test substance is assessed as inherent biodegradable.
