Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

After evaporation or exposure to air, the substance will be rapidly degraded by photochemical processes.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in air:
9 h

Additional information

Based on a calculation according to AOPWIN v1.92, the substance is indirectly photodegraded by reaction with hydroxyl radicals in the atmosphere with a half-life (t1/2) of about 9 hours taking into account a 24 -h day and a mean OH radical concentration of 0.5E06 radicals/cm³. The calculated rate constant is 43.7 cm³/molecule-cm [BASF AG, 2007].
