Toxicity to terrestrial plants

Currently viewing:

Administrative data

Endpoint:
toxicity to terrestrial plants: short-term
Data waiving:
exposure considerations
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely
Justification for type of information:
Because Diglyme has a predicted Koc of < 3 L/kg sorption to sewage sludge is very low. Therefore transfer of Diglyme into agricultural soil via sludge amendment can be neglected. Also indirect exposure via deposition from air is very low because of rapid photodegradation of Diglyme in air. Based on this fact terrestrial ecotoxicity tests are not warranted. Furthermore the CSA does not indicate the need for further investigation.
