Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: non-GLP
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling point/boiling range)
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
photocell detection
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
ca. 245 °C
Conclusions:
The boiling point of BADGE-MXDA adduct could not be determined due to decomposition at 245°C
Executive summary:

The boiling point of BADGE-MXDA adduct could not be determined due to decomposition at 245°C.

The BP range was run from 120-400°C and repeated from 200-260°C at a ramp of 5.0°C/min. The sample changed color from colorless to yellow and this was observed at about 245°C, indicating decomposition. Boiling of the sample did not occur.
