Endpoint:
explosive properties of explosives
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties

Description of key information

The test substance was concluded not to have explosive properties following an assessment on the chemical structure of the substance and taking into consideration Appendix 6 of UN ‘Manual of Tests and Criteria’ for the use of screening procedures to assess explosive substances, and the ECHA Endpoint specific guidance (R.7a).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test substance does not need to be classified as explosive as based on the chemical structure the substance does not contain any chemically instable or highly energetic groups that might lead to an explosion.
