Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB

Toxicity Assessment

The registration substance is not classified as carcinogenic (class 1 or 2), mutagenic (class 1 or 2) or toxic to reproduction (class 1, 2 or 3) or T R48 or Xn R48 according to Annex I of 67/548/EEC (DSD) or carcinogenic (cat 1A or 1B), germ cell mutagenic (cat 1A or 1B), or toxic to reproduction (cat 1A, 1B or 2), or STOT RE cat 1 or 2 according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008 (CLP).

All LC50/EC50 values obtained in acute aquatic toxicity tests and the NOEC for algae were above 0.1 mg/L. These data lead to the conclusion, that the registration substance does not fulfil the T criterion.

Persistence and Bioaccumulation Assessment

A potential for bioaccumulation of the registration substance is not expected due to the log Pow of 1.6 (no B, no vB).

The registration substance is not readily but poorly inherently biodegradable. This indicates that the substance might be potentially P or vP.

Summary and overall conclusions on PBT or vPvB properties

Regarding all available data on biotic and abiotic degradation, bioaccumulation and toxicity it can be stated that the registration substance does neither fulfil the PBT nor the vPvB criteria.
