Description of key information
The logarithmic adsoprtion coefficent, log Koc, of tert-dodecanethiol was estimated to be 3.6 using the HPLC method. This indicates that tert-dodecanethiol will strongly stick to soils and sediments.

Mollandin (2010) is a GLP-compliant adsorption study on soil/ sewage sludge, using high performance liquid chromatography, following OECD guideline 121. It is considered reliable and suitable for use as a key study. The value of 3981 for Koc indicates that tert-dodecanethiol will strongly stick to soil and sediment particles.
