Description of key information

No toxicity to sewage sludge microorganisms was observed at a concentration of 12.5 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The results for fatty acids, tall oil, oligomeric products with maleic acid and rosin, Calcium, magnesium, zinc salt are taken from a toxicity control carried out as part of an OECD 301B CO2 evolution test (Harlan Laboratories Ltd., 2010). In the toxicity control the biodegradation rate of a reference substance (sodium benzoate) known to be readily biodegradable is followed in the presence of the test item. The test item did not exhibit any inhibitory effects on the microbial inoculums. The NOEC was reported as 12.5 mg/L.
