Description of key information

The acute toxicity of the test item to the freshwater invertebrate Daphnia magna has been investigated and gave a 48-Hour EL50 value of greater than 100 mg/l loading rate WAF.  Correspondingly the No Observed Effect Loading rate was 100 mg/l loading rate WAF.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A GLP-compliant study following OECD guideline 202 is available for fatty acids, tall oil, oligomeric products with maleic acid and rosin, calcium, magnesium, zinc salt salts (Harlan Laboratories, 2010). Analytical verification of the test solutions was conducted but results are reported based on nominal loading rates. The EL50 was determined to be > 100 mg/L loading rate.
