Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

Description of key information

Waiving of study:
In accordance with the REACH Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7.1.13, a test on oxidising properties required in section 7.13 of REACH, Annex VII does not need to be conducted as there are no chemical groups associated with oxidising properties present in DBMC (refer to Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7.1.13.3).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the structure of the molecule and taking into account the provisions laid down in Council Directive 67/548/EEC and Guidance to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, DBMC does not have to be classified with respect to oxidising properties.
