Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of Annex IX, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. 2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethanol is already considered to be readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria. Hence, no further testing on biodegradation is performed.

In an OECD 306 study on the degradation in sea water conducted by Huntingdon for Huntsman in 2000, the degradation of the test substance was <= 2%. However, since this test is not considered as a test on the ready biodegradability nor on the degradation of substances in sea water under environmental conditions, this test is not considered further.
