Description of key information

Due to structural properties, hydrolysis is not expected; in addition, the substance is readily biodegradable.

Additional information

According to Kollig et al. (1993) and Boethling & Mackay (2000) the structure of the test substance does not contain any functional groups sensitive to hydrolysis. In addition, according to column 2 of REACH Annex VII, a study does not need to be performed if the substance is readily biodegradable or inorganic. 2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethanol is readily biodegradable. Therefore, a study is not required.
