Description of key information
The flammability of a substance is determined following the methods N.1 (UN-manual of testing) or A.10 (EU-method).
However, in accordance with section 2 of REACH Annex XI, a study is technically not feasible as the substance is a liquid. The flammability of a liquid is described by the flash point.
Pyrophoric properties are determined following the methods N.3 (UN-Manual of testing) or A.13 (EU-method).
However, in accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, a study does not need to be conducted as it is scientifically unjustified. Based on experience during handling and use, no pyrophoric properties were observed and the structure does not give a reference to pyrophoric properties.
The flammability of a substance on contact with water is determined following the methods N.5 (UN-Manual of testing) or A.12 (EU-method).
However, in accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, a study does not need to be conducted as it is scientifically unjustified. Based on experience during handling and use, the substance does not liberate highly flammable gases on contact with water or humid air.

Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on the experience during handling and use of cyclohexylamine, pyrophoric properties can be excluded.
Based on the experience during handling and use of cyclohexylamine, flammability on contact with water can be excluded.
The flammability of a liquid is preferably described by the flashpoint. With a flash point of 28 °C, cyclohexylamine has to be classified as a flammable liquid (R10 according to Directive 67/548/EEC, Flam Liq 3 according to Regulation EC 1272/2008).
