Mixtures of cellulose with 10, 30, 50, 70 and 90% RO 1525 (wlw) were

prepared. No spreading of the flame was observed in any of the mixtures of RO

I525 with cellulose. When the Bunsen burner was removed no flame or glow

was maintained independently. This meant that it was not possible to measure

an ignition speed.

No tests were carried out on mixtures of 20, 40, 60 and 80% RO I525 (wlw) as

no reaction at all was observed with the other mixtures and these smaller steps

are only useful in finding the optimal composition which produces the highest

ignition speed.
