Based on the results of a study conducted in accordance with OECD Guideline 306 (Biodegradability in Seawater), hexahydro-1,3,5 -trimethyl-1,3,5 -triazine is considered to meet the criteria of "readily biodegradable" as defined in ECHA Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment Chapter R7b.

The following default half-lives are used for chemical safety assessment:

Half-life in water: 15 days

Half-life in sediment: 300 days

Half-life in soil: 30 days
