Description of key information
In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the test on surface tension (required in section 7.6) was waived, as the water solubility of the substance at 20 °C was determined to be < 1 mg/L.
In accordance with EU method A.6, OECD Guideline 105, and EPA OPPTS guidelines 830.7840 and 730.7860 the saturation concentration of the test substance at room temperature was analytically estimated by a simplified flask method in the preliminary test to be in the range of the quantification limit for the DOC-measurement (1 mg DOC/L). In conclusion, no experimental determination of the surface tension of an aqueous solution of the test substance had to be performed due to the low water solubility found and according to the guidelines in force.
