Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Cyclohexyl methacrylate was tested in an acute toxicity study with Danio rerio under flow through conditions with analytical monitoring (FHI for Evonik Roehm, 2001). The test procedure followed OECD guideline 203. Nominal exposure concentrations were 100, 500 and 1000 mg/L. Since the test substance permanently dosed to the vessels tended to form a lipophilic phase at the water surface after 24 hours, samples for analytical monitoring were then taken from two different heights. The measured concentrations were not significantly different between different dose levels although dosage differed by one order of magnitude, whereas in all vessels the two depths were measured with concentrations differing by a factor of 20-40. Based on nominal test concentrations the 96-hour LC50 was determined to be 590 mg/L.
